THE EVENT
South Bank’s festive Christmas program delivered two weeks of family-focused celebrations, bringing seasonal joy to one of Brisbane’s most loved precincts with a quintessential Queensland Christmas feel.
Across the activation period, our team worked closely with South Bank to deliver cohesive festive styling, interactive kids’ experiences, Santa appearances, and polished event operations that brought the area to life throughout the holiday season.
OBJECTIVES
- Deliver a high-quality, family-friendly Christmas program across a two-week period.
- Create engaging festive experiences that encouraged repeat visits.
- Ensure cohesive styling, entertainment, and operations across multiple activation elements.
- Support a seamless guest experience through strong coordination, staffing, and delivery.
PLANNING & EXECUTION
Working in collaboration with the South Bank team, we managed multiple elements of the Christmas activation from planning through to delivery.
We delivered:
- Festive styling: designed and installed Christmas theming that aligned with the precinct’s identity and created a welcoming seasonal atmosphere.
- Kids’ craft workshops: coordinated creative workshop experiences to engage families and younger visitors throughout the activation period.
- Santa and talent bookings: managed Santa appearances and additional talent scheduling to ensure consistent festive entertainment across the two weeks.
- Photography management: oversaw event photography to capture key moments, activations, and guest interactions.
- Staffing and coordination: provided on-ground staffing and operational oversight to ensure smooth delivery across all days and activities.
OUTCOMES
- Successfully delivered a multi-week Christmas activation that engaged families and visitors throughout the festive season.
- Created a cohesive, well-managed program that encouraged repeat visitation and festive participation.
- Strengthened the area’s Christmas offering through thoughtful styling, entertainment, and guest-focused experiences.
- Closed out the year with a polished, joyful activation that reflected the spirit of a Queensland Christmas.
